The town of Mobata / Maabatli witnessed a campaign of arrests of dozens of the Kurdish residents, in implementation of the instructions of the Turkish intelligence, in the context of the policy of restrictions on the people, and on Tuesday, the mayor of the town was arrested, while the charge is ready.
Afrin Post correspondent reported that a Turkish intelligence patrol, yesterday afternoon, Monday, October 5, 2020, arrested the citizen Muhammad Bilal son of Hassan, a family member of the mayor of the town of Mobata / Maabatli, and charged him with dealing with the Autonomous Administration.
The correspondent added that it is likely that the mayor was arrested on the grounds that he notified the people of the village who would be arrested a day earlier, in order to take the necessary measures in terms of securing the amount of the bail, which would be paid in court, as it is believed that the mayor was handed over lists of the names of citizens who will be arrested . Thus, all accusations that will be directed against citizens upon their arrest are a foregone conclusion.
The Mobata / Maabatli district center witnessed previous arrest campaigns, the last of which was on Sunday 10/4/2020, when the “Civil Police” militia raided a number of homes and arrested a number of Kurdish citizens, including a woman.
The arrested citizens are: 1- Wael Jamil -2- Muhammad Ali Bilal -3- Izzat Mukhtar 4- Ali Ham Zeno 5- and Leila Rashid Qarnal 6- Hikmat Mamish, while their fate is still unknown to this day.
