Armed fighting between gunmen from the town of “Darat Azza” in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo, against others from the “Jaish Al-Islam” militia expelled from the countryside of Damascus, in the village of Qujuma in the countryside of the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria, resulted in wounding three militants from “Darat Azza”, what led them to threat of retaliation from the “Army of Islam” militia, in case the injured militants are dead.

In the context, the correspondent of “Afrinpost” in the center of “Jenders” district reported that fighting with weapons broke out on Sunday / 6th of September, between gunmen from Darat Izza and gunmen affiliated with the “Jaish Al-Islam” militia in the village of “Qujuma” during the wedding of a settler in the village.

The reporter indicated that the clash lasted for several hours and resulted in the serious injury of three gunmen from the town of “Darat Azza”. The reporter confirmed that the “Darat Izza” militants threatened the “Jaish Al-Islam” militia with retaliation and waged a violent battle in case the wounded militants who are still in critical health condition are dead.

The reporter pointed out that the Kurdish people of the village could not leave their homes due to the tension between the militants, which led to the decline of public life and public activity in the village.

The city of Afrin and its villages witness incidents of militia fighting from time to time, among the militants themselves due to their different backgrounds and lack of harmony between them, as well as because of competition and disagreement over the division of what they call “spoils”. The results of the fighting are reflected in public life in chaos and insecurity.
