Complementing the news published by “Afrinpost” yesterday, Wednesday, about an arrest campaign in the “Arab Sheikho” village of the “Mobata / Maabatli” district, last Sunday, the 16th of August, the correspondent of “Afrinpost” said in the district center , that the new information obtained showed that there were 16 detainees from the village, who managed to obtain the names of six of them.
The reporter said that the six names that he was able to obtain belong to the citizens (Muhammad Muhammad, Hassan Muhammad Ayyub, Jamal Abdo Aboosh, Ali Abdo Aboush, Muhammad Abdo Aboush, and Fouad Abd Muhammad).
The correspondent stated that the families were arrested on false and fabricated charges and pretexts based on the assumption that they dealt with the “Autonomous Administration,” and the “Military Police” militia imposed on them a ransom ranging between 300-500 Turkish liras for the release of each one of them, as the reporter explained that the people were forced to pay the ransom to release their sons later.
The reporter added that some of the kidnapped were released in exchange for paying five hundred US dollars each, while one of them paid five hundred Turkish liras, and the citizen Muhammad Muhammad paid 300 US dollars, indicating that the arrest campaign continues, where those who refrain from paying the ransom are transferred to the Military Police militia in the district center.
