The media sites of the Turkish occupation said that the Turkish Minister of Interior Suleiman Soylu, by phone, congratulated officials and security men working in the occupied Kurdish Afrin region in northern Syria, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, in addition to inspecting the called “Hussein Yeman”, a deputy of the ruling Justice and Development Party in Turkey, for the Turkish police and soldiers working in Afrin.
Those means stated that during the visit, Yeman was accompanied by the Qomlu District Judge in the Turkish state of Hatay (south), Arkan Qayabashi, and during the visit, Yeman made a phone call to the Minister of Interior, who in turn used the opportunity to speak with Turkish police and soldiers in what they call the olive branch operations area and congratulated them on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, as the occupation seeks to establish the names of its military conquests in northern Syria, to be indications of them instead of their actual names.
The Russian Ministry of Defense had accused for the first time since the occupation of the Kurdish region of Afrin on the third of last March, by the head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, Major General Oleg Goravlov, the Turkish occupation authorities that they are settling the Turkmen in areas from which the Kurds were expelled, which led to a change in the demographic composition of these regions.
The Reconciliation Center then pointed out that the number of forcibly displaced persons from the original Afrin population as a result of the Turkish invasion called the “Olive Branch” has reached about 250 thousand people, most of them Kurds, in addition to the displacement of more than 135 thousand people, the majority of whom are also Kurds, as a result of the Turkish invasion called Through Operation “Spring of Peace”, through which the Turkish occupation forces and Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood occupied the sector that extends between the cities of Sere Kaniyeh / Ras al-Ain and Gre Spi / Tel Abyad.
