Afrinpost – Special
The Afrinpost correspondent in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, in northern Syria, said that a settler from the city of “Harasta” in Damascus countryside refused to vacate the house of the “citizen Muhyiddin Shukri” located in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, and he was required to pay $ 700 to vacate it. Although he has occupied the house for more than two years.
The Kurdish citizen, Shukry, is from the village of Habou, in the district of “Mobata / Ma’batli” district, and lives in Afrin, but the settler who occupies his house refuses to hand him over to his house.
After two years and five months since the Turkish military occupation, Afrin still under martial law, so that there is no law that could enable Kurdish citizens to hold militants or settlers accountable for their violations and abuses, which is a plan followed by the Turkish occupation.
