“Al-Waqqas” militia attacks a Kurdish elderly in Shieh district and loots his house

Afrinpost – Special

Militants from “Al-Waqqas Brigade” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, on Monday noon 8/24/2020, stormed the house of a Kurdish elderly in the village of Sanareh in the Shieh / Sheikh Al-Hadid district, and they brutally assaulted him and then robbed the money and furniture he owns, according to the Afrinpost correspondent in the district.

The reporter explained that the gunmen attacked the elderly Kurdish citizen Abdullah Hussein Mustafa Agha, which caused fractures in his limbs and he was still bedridden, indicating that the gunmen then stole money and household furniture from his home.

Early this August, the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia kidnapped Kurdish citizen Abdullah Ibrahim Muhammad Ali (51 years old) from his home in the village of Ma’reskah / Sharan, and demanded his family a ransom of 3 million Syrian pounds in exchange for his release.

The Turkish occupation militias, regardless of their names (the Syrian National Army – Military Police – Civil Police – Political Security, etc.) have been pursuing a policy of arrest and kidnapping, targeting the elderly people in particular, since it occupied the Kurdish region in the midst of March 2018, in an effort to crack down on the indigenous Kurdish population to leave their homes for the benefit of the settlers loyal to the Turkish occupation.
