According to the Human Rights Organization – Afrin, the militia gunmen kidnapped him after the death of his wife, “Jannat,” a resident of the village of “Hassan Kalakawi, affiliated with Rajo.” Where the armed men prevented her body from being washed and shrouding her in the village mosque, according to the customs and traditions followed in the occupied territory, as she converted to Christianity . That angered her husband, so they kidnapped him and took him to the militia headquarters in Afrin city center on charges of apostasy from Islam.
