A checkpoint of the “Military Police” militia in Tirinde terrorizes the people of Sherawa villages

Afrinpost – Special

Residents of the Sherawa district villages cannot go to the center of the occupied Kurdish Afrin region in northern Syria, for fear of the “military police” militia checkpoint of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, due to its poor reputation, as it is located near the village of “Tirinde / Al-Zarifa”, at the southern entrance to Afrin .

The “Afrinpost” reporter at the district center said that the “Military Police” militia checkpoint disturbs the Kurdish population coming from the villages of the Sherawa district to Afrin.

He added that the residents of the villages of Sherawa district are afraid to go to Afrin, so that they do not pass through that checkpoint that ask questions, aimed at trapping civilians in slips of the tongue, or mistakes that justify their arrest.

The reporter reported what a citizen said from the villages of Sherawa district, who said that the checkpint asks questions such as: “You are a Kurd”, “What did you work with Self-Administration?” “You are in the age of enrolling in the compulsory military service. Where did you serve?” “If you work, tell us and we will help you” , and others.

The reporter said that that checkpoint kidnapped and arrested many civilians in this way, and that they demanded financial ransoms from the families of the kidnapped in exchange for the release of their children.
