The settlers and the Turkish occupation militias known as the “National Army” continue to steal the agricultural seasons that considered the main source of the income of the Kurdish citizens in the occupied Afrin region, within the framework of the impoverishment and starvation plan developed by the Turkish intelligence with the aim of pushing them to leave their homes for the benefit of the pro-Turkey settlers.
In the context, the Afrinpost correspondent stated that the settlers who have been settled in the village of Qibareh / A’rsh Qibar are stealing the pistachio crop in the orchards located in the vicinity of the water channel south of the village, indicating that these orchards belong to the people of the village of Qibar.
The operations of stealing seasons include all crops. On the nineteenth of this July, the “Failaq Al-Sham” militia imposed a 10% royalty on almond and sumac crops in three villages (Zarka, Kela, and Chupana) affiliated to the Bulbul district, and asked the people to bring the crops selling bills “Almonds and sumac” to be deducted the royalty of 10% of the value of sales for the benefit of the economic office of the militia.
On July 16th, settlers in the village of Darwish of Raju district stole the sumac season of Kurdish civilians, and on July 8, local sources reported that gunmen from the Turkish occupation’s Samarkand Brigade carried out a massive theft campaign of the sumac season, which included the fields of forcibly displaced people in several villages belonging to the “Bulbul” district and the villages are: (Ramadana, Hajj Qasim, Ruta / Rotanli, Gundi Mazen).
In the district of “Balbul”, the “Failaq Al-Sham” militia robs the season of “grape leaves / yabrak” in front of the eyes of the owners of the fields in the villages (Draqliya and Meydan Akbas) and on the road of (Bibaka – Kariya and Ashouneh village), and the crops are shipped to Al-Hal Market in the center of Afrin region and sold there to its advantage.
