The fisherman informed him that he was fishing from Lake Maidanki which is considered a source for living of the poor, where the fisherman said that dozens of gunmen come to The lake daily to blackmail and provoke the people.
The fisherman added: “Yesterday I was fishing, dozens of armed men of the“ Rijal Al-Harb ”militia came there, as the militants try to provoke the fishermen by intercepting their hooks, in order to provoke the fishermen and arouse a problem, which will give the gunman the pretext to ask what he wants from them .
He also pointed out: “This is what happened with an elderly yesterday, when one of the gunmen stopped his boat while he objected them, so the gunmen drove him to the headquarters near the lake, and after they took over 15,000 S.P. from the fisherman, they released him.”
The fisherman said that the gunmen are hungry, and that these things happen on a daily basis. Blackmailing the fishermen has become a source of money for the gunmen.
Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood do not hesitate to steal everything everywhere, whether public or private property, in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin.
