Paid exchange of prisoners by Islamic militias … with the regime forces

Afrinpost

In spite of the hostility against the regime forces claimed by the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, known as the “Syrian National Army”, the years of its formation proved false, as these militias did not engage in any battles with the regime forces, and adhered to the instructions that they received from Ankara, which restricted to fighting against SDF only.

In the context, media outlets loyal to the Turkish occupation and organization said that the militants of what is known as the “National Army” held a prisoner exchange with the regime forces in the occupied city of Azaz, north of Aleppo, which proves the existence of a state of normalization between the two sides, with each party acknowledging what it currently controls, where both parties adhere to a Russian-Turkish truce.

The Islamic militia conducted several exchanges with the regime forces, the last of which was on 16, 18 and 22 May, but the pace of exchanges stopped after that.

A leader in Mutasim militia explained that things are somewhat easy during the exchange process, and most of the exchanges take place in the presence of the Syrian Red Crescent or the Red Cross.

However, these exchanges do not seem to pass without Brotherhood militias practicing their usual deals, as sources within the ranks of the opposition themselves confirm that the executing party receives funds amounting to ten thousand dollars from the families of the prisoner by the regime forces, in exchange with officers and members of the regime forces, for his release.
