“Al-Hamzeh” militia opens fire at civilians who refused to pay them royalties

Afrinpost – Special

Today, Monday, the militia of the “Al-Hamzeh Squad” of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood fired randomly at a number of citizens in the village of “Al-Fireriyah” of “Jenderes” district in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, in northern Syria, because of their refusal to pay them royalties the militia had imposed on them, injuring three villagers.

The Afrinpost correspondent in the center of the “Jenderes” district said that altercations occurred on Sunday night between the citizens of the village and the gunmen, against the backdrop of their demand for financial royalties, in addition to the militants ’demand for free food stuff from the village people (yogurt, cheese, and vegetables) .

On Monday, the gunmen repeated their demands for these royalties, but the order was met by the rejection of the villagers, so the gunmen opened fire on them, wounding three of them, and one of them seriously.

While the reporter was unable to document the names of the injured, the tension is still dominating the village, as the militants continue to abuse the people of Afrin and its villages one after the other, taking advantage of the international silence, which gives them the green light to practice more violations and continue the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of the indigenous people of Afrin.
