Afrinpost – Special
The militia of the “Al-Shamiya Front” affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood refused to evacuate its headquarters in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, in northern Syria, and leave to its outskirts, after the Turkish occupation decision to evacuate the city from the militias.
The Afrinpost correspondent stated that Al-Shamiya Front militia refuses to leave the city of Afrin, and disobeys the “Military Police” militia charged with getting the militias out of the city.
He pointed out that the headquarters of the “Al-Shamiya Front” located in the old Afrin neighborhood, and their gunmen refuse to evacuate it, and the militants did not response to calls by the “military police” militia to evacuate the headquarters and hand over the weapons, and pointed out that the military police militia had granted the headquarters three days to evacuate.
The correspondent added that the militia’s media people are attempting to polish the militia’s image by trying to conduct interviews with civilians, and to say that the militia’s barriers and headquarters were protecting them.
He explained that the militia was deeply resentful of the decision, as it was for all other Islamic militias, that it was consuming the properties of the people in Afrin, where the gunmen feared the loss of the source of their theft. While the residents of the rural Afrin and its villages are afraid from facing more violations after the transfer of the militants to the outskirts of Afrin, where these indicate that the thefts have doubled since then.
Ankara is seeking to appear in a new propaganda way by moving militias outside the cities, while the real reason may be the inability to control its behavior and the repeated cases of gang fighting among themselves within the city, which made it a burden on them.
