Turkish occupation evacuates a base for fear of “Afrin Liberation Forces” operations

Afrinpost – Special

The Turkish occupation evacuated its base in the village of Mariyamin, east of the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, in northern Syria, where two soldiers, vehicles, and armored vehicles withdrew from it to go towards Azaz.

The Afrinpost correspondent in the center of the “Shara / Sharan” district reported that two vehicles carrying soldiers, 3 scorpion vehicles and 5 armored vehicles withdrew today, Sunday, from the Turkish occupation base in the village of Mariyamin in the district.

The reporter pointed out that the pulled vehicles passed from the village of “Ma’rskeh” and headed towards the occupied city of Izzaz, and added that even the Turkish occupation soldiers checkpoint had been evacuated, and only armed men of the Ahrar al-Sham militia and a translator remained.

On the reason for the evacuation of the base, the reporter said that the Turkish occupation soldiers are afraid of the attacks of the Afrin Liberation Forces, especially after what happened in the village of Maranaz, where the militants of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood returned, after trying to occupy the village.

On Saturday afternoon, clashes broke out with heavy weapons between the “Afrin Liberation Forces” and the occupation militias in the axis of the village of Mar’anaz of the “Shara / Sharan” district, which led to the death and injury of the latter, according to the “Afrinpost” reporter.

The correspondent pointed out that the Turkish Islamic militia militias known as the “Syrian National Army” attempted to infiltrate and advance on the axis of the village of Maranaz in the eastern countryside of Afrin, but the “Afrin Liberation Forces” confronted them, forcing them to retreat, killing and injuring their ranks, while mutual shelling continued.
