People of Shirawa denounce the Turkish aggression against Halanj, east of Kobani

Throats of hundreds of residents of the Shirawa district (the unoccupied villages) in Afrin province, during a massive demonstration, denounced the Turkish occupation’s bombing of Halanj village in Kobani countryside, which targeted women, and 3 of them were martyred.

Hundreds of people gathered in the village of “Ziyarateh / Al-Ziyara”, heading to Al-Awda camp amid chanting slogans saluting the resistance of Kobani, holding the flags and pictures of martyrs of “resistance of the age”, and pictures of martyrs “Zahra Barkal” and “Amina Wessi”, and banners written on it “Long live resistance Kobani, No to the Turkish occupation, The Erdogan fascism will fall, No to the silence of the international community, No to Turkish aggression, Enough killing women and children, With determination and faith, we will defeat the occupation.

Upon the arrival of the masses to the camp, they observed a minute of silence, followed by a speech by the joint head of the Shirawa District Council, Muhammad Hannan, during which he denounced the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on Kobani and its bombing of activists.

Hannan stressed, “We, as the people of Afrin, support our people in Kobani, and any attack against the Kurdish people in any region is considered an attack on the common people.”

The administrative in the Star conference in Ahras, Amina Dankli, also condemned the attacks of the Turkish occupation on the northern and eastern regions of Syria and its targeting of women.

Mazloum Abdi, the commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, had referred to the bombing of a Turkish airliner, on June 23, in the village of Halanj, east of Kobani, in a tweet he posted on his Twitter account.
