A Kurdish woman in Afrin was kidnapped under the pretext of covering up the religion of a Kurdish Yazidi citizen

“Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia kidnapped a Kurdish woman under the pretext of covering up the religion of Kurdish Yazidi citizens, as the militia pursued the Yezidi people in the city under the pretext that they were “Satan worshipers”, as it considers that whoever does not show them to the Yezidi families that he is covering up of the “Satan worshipers” (as they claim).

“Amina / a pseudonym” from the city of Afrin spoke to “Afrinpost” and said that “Ahrar al-Sharqiya militia” came and asked about the family of H.J. who are their neighbors on the road to the village of Kafr Shil near the Economics School, and asked them whether they were Yezidis or Muslims and they chanted the phrase “Are they Satan worshipers?”

She added: “We told them no, they are Muslims in order to protect them from kidnapping, but that a week ago from now this same militia came again and kidnapped me for the sake of covering up for the Satan worshipers and collaborating with the PYD, and I was transferred for a week to Al-Bab city and then I was able to leave.

“Amina” continued: “Here, in Afrin, protecting Yezidis has become a crime for which they are kidnapped or arrested,” noting that the citizen (H.J.) managed to escape with his family to the city of Aleppo, some time ago, to protect himself and his family from kidnapping.
