The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed the details of the recruitment of Syrian children by the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, to send them to fight in Libya, pointing to the killing of 16 children so far among the 150 Syrian children who were recruited to fight there.
In February, Ankara had admitted sending Syrian “mercenaries / murderers” to support the Al-Wefaq Brotherhood government in Tripoli in its battles against the Libyan army forces led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.
The observatory stated that the number of Syrian “mercenaries / assassins killers” in Libya has so far reached about 8,400, among them a non-Syrian group, while the number of armed men who arrived in the Turkish camps to receive training reached 3550 militants.
The observatory said yesterday, Wednesday: “There are about 150 children between the ages of 16 and 18, the majority of whom are from” Sultan Murad “, were recruited to fight in Libya through a process of material temptation to fully exploit the difficult living situation and poverty situations.”
On how these children go to Libya, the organization quoted sources as saying, “Many children go from Idlib and the northern countryside of Aleppo to Afrin, on the pretext of working there at first and some of them went without the knowledge of their parents, to be recruited in Afrin by the pro-Turkey factions, and sent to fight In Libya, alongside the Al-Wefaq government. ”The source narrated the story of one of these children, pointing out that he was only 15 years old.
According to the observatory, the child left the IDP camp where he lived with his family, and went to Afrin to work in agriculture, and he remained in contact with his family for about 20 days, then the contact with him was lost.
The child’s parents were shocked to learn that he appeared in one of the videotapes, as he was fighting alongside the Syrian Islamic militia in Libya, and after their inquiry it was found that the child was being recruited into the ranks of the militia, “Sultan Murad”.
