Occupation militias force Kurdish youth in Afrin to go to Libya

Hawar News Agency revealed today, Saturday, that the militants of the “Samarkand Battalion” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, had forced a Kurdish child from the occupied Afrin region to go to Libya to fight within the militias of Ankara in Tripoli.

According to media reports, the Turkish occupation has sent at least 7,000 “mercenaries / hired killers” of Syrians to Libya, as Ankara supports armed groups linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Not only did the Turkish occupation state plunge adults into those battles, but its violations extended to the point of engaging children in the battles of Libya, where the “Libyan National Army” led by Field Marshal Khalifa Hifter fight against the militias of the Al-Wefaq government led by the so-called “Fayez al-Sarraj” of Ankara.

About a month ago, gunmen of the “Samarkand” militia led by its leader “Abu Jihad”, kidnapped the Kurdish child “Abdo Sheikho,” who is 15 years old, from his house in the village of “Ruota / Rotanli” in the district of “Mobata / Ma’batli”, and after a month of torture, they threatened to kill him if he refused to go to Libya.

The uncle of the child, “Abdo Sheikho”, who was displaced from the occupied Afrin, “Najib Sheikho”, stated: “Samarkand’s faction has kidnapped my nephew more than a month ago, and threatened him if he refused to go with the mercenaries to Libya.”

Sheikho added: “The Turkish occupied and its mercenaries have not only forced us to displace from our homes, but rather they are trying to kill our people in Afrin, or send them to Libya with mercenaries.”

Sheikhu appealed to human rights organizations and the United Nations to return the minor Abdo to his family, noting that the family of the child “Abdo” consists of his blind father, his elderly mother, and five daughters, and they have nobody to look after them but him.
