“Military Police” militia arrests four Kurdish citizens in the village of “Shourba” including an elderly woman

Afrinpost – Special

The Turkish occupation forces and the Muslim Brotherhood militias continue to use kidnapping and arrest as a means of blackmail, pressure and restrictions on the remaining Kurdish indigenous people in the occupied Afrin region, with the aim of displacing them from their homes for the benefit of settlers loyal to them.

In the context, the Afrinpost reporter at the “Mobata / Ma’batli” district center said that the “Military Police” militia arrested three Kurdish citizens, including a sixty-year-old woman, from their houses in the village of “Shourba”, and took them to its headquarters in the village of Kafarjana, affiliated with the “Shara / Sharan” district, with the usual accusation of “working for former self-management institutions”

The reporter explained that a patrol from the “Military Police” militia arrested about a week ago, (Idris Jaafar – 40 years old, Hassan Bayram -more than 60 years old, and Rashida, wife of Ali Taher- sixty years old) and took them to their headquarters in the village of Kafrjannah.

The correspondent added that the militia arrested, about twenty days ago (late April), the village mukhtar, who is hired by the occupation councils “Rashid Omar / 56 years” without knowing the charge against him.

Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a means of obtaining money, which is one of the methods they followed since the beginning of the occupation of Afrin, while the Turkish occupation supervises these operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from returning.
