Afrinpost – Special
In the context of its sinful role, the legislator of the Turkish occupation and supporting the settlement and the domination of the law of the jungle imposed by the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood in the occupied Kurdish Afrin region, continue to implement the instructions it receives from the intelligence of the Turkish occupation, aimed at enabling a project for demographic change in favor of the settlers, and establishing the reality of the occupation.
In the context, the Afrin Post learned from its sources that the local occupation council in the city of Afrin is withholding humanitarian aid from its beneficiaries for sale later in the commercial stores specialized in selling foodstuffs / wholesale /, in a move considered as a reference to the starvation plan followed by the Turkish occupation against the remaining indigenous Kurdish population in the occupied territory.
The sources pointed out that the relief office in the council withholds the names of Kurdish citizens from the lists, after which they send the dues of these people to a commercial store located in front of the old garage and belongs to its owner (one of the sons of Mukhtar al-Bubnah) noting that the value of the aid share is paid at 37,000 Syrian pounds.
The sources added that the local occupation council applies its laws to the rest of the Kurdish population only, without daring to compel the settlers and armed people to its decisions, noting that the council removes the street selling spots belonging to the Kurdish citizens from the main streets, while the settlers are still sweeping the city’s markets with street selling without the council approaching them.
In this regard, the councils representing the settlers distributed material and aid, as the so-called “the displaced people of al-Ghouta” council provided 200 Turkish lira and relief baskets of clothing and food.
The Homs Settlement Council also provided 25 thousand Syrian pounds in addition to a relief basket of clothes and food. As for the settlers of the northern Hama countryside, they obtained relief baskets and clothes from their council, and 300 Turkish liras were distributed, and clothes and a basket of detergents and a food basket were arrived at the Turkmen settlers.
On January 30th, the Afrin Post had presented testimonies of Kurdish civilians in Afrin about the failure of the organizations affiliated with the occupation and the settlers to distribute aid to them, and an elderly Kurdish woman said, “They do not give us help, my son, because we are Kurds, they limit them to the settlers,” adding: “Who thought that we would need a day to help, my son. All my children and the Afrinis in general had their jobs that bring in enough money for them, despite the siege that these militants have always tried to apply to us. ”
