Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood militants who call themselves “the Syrian National Army / Free Army”, carry on their efforts to avenge from the displaced Afrin people in Shirawa and Al-Shahba, the militants deliberately fire shells and bullets aimed at burning crops and trees in the areas of the displaced.
In the context, the occupation forces deliberately sets fires starting from the village of “Burj Haydar” in the occupied area of Shirawa, while the residents were hesitant to put the fire out, for fear of been targeted by the militants, until the fire, due to the strong winds, reached the villages of “Kalouteh” and “Gondi Mezin ”in Shirawa.
Consequently, the people in Shirawa district endeavored to put out those fires in the agricultural lands in Shirawa District in Afrin countryside, which were planted with wheat and barley crops in the late hours of Friday evening.
As the 22-year-old “Suleiman Jamil Ibrahim” was trying to put out the fire, he was targeted with a bullet from the Turkish occupation militia, where he was seriously wounded.
The young man was immediately rushed to the Afrin Hospital in Al-Shahba for treatment, and according to the Afrinpost correspondent, the youth’s injury was critical, which led to his death, by the gunmen of the Muslim Brotherhood.
With the continuing shelling and the occupation militias deliberately setting fire to Al-Shahba and the east of the Euphrates areas, and the weak capabilities, it is difficult for the people to be able to control the fire and put it out.
Afrin has witnessed, since the start of the Turkish occupation on March 18, 2018, the uprooting and burning of thousands of forest, olive trees and others, and militias have set fires in the mountains of the region, under the pretext that there are cells for the “People’s Protection Units” “YPG”.
