Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to use the seizure and expulsion of the indigenous people as a means of blackmail, imposing pressure and restrictions on those who remain in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, with the aim of displacing them from their homes for the benefit of the settlers from various conflict areas in Syria.
In the context, a special source told “Afrinpost”, that the militia of the “Sultan Murad Brigade” militia had taken over the house of a Kurdish citizen in the old Afrin neighborhood, and turned it into a house of prostitution, and indicated that the gunmen attacked the Sheikh of the mosque in the neighborhood, because he said that it is forbidden what they do in Ramadan.
The source pointed out that gunmen called “Abu Qusai” and “Abu Abdul” from the militia of “Sultan Murad Brigade” had seized the house of the Kurdish citizen “Othman Muhammad” located behind the restaurant “Vin” in the old Afrin neighborhood, and they turned them into a house of prostitution.
The source added that “Othman”, 70 years old, had rented his house to a family there, meaning that the house was his livelihood, but the gunmen had come to him a few days ago and took the family out of the house.
The source pointed out that the gunmen had threatened “Othman” in the case if he complained to anyone about it, and pointed out, “But this happened in front of everyone’s eyes there, and everyone knows that they turned it into a house of prostituion”, while the source did not know the fate of the family that was evicted from the house.
In the context, the source said that the gunmen assaulted the Sheikh of the neighborhood mosque, who is Sheikh “Abbas”, who is also a Kurd, after he told them that “it is forbidden for you to open a house of prostitution in the days of fasting”, where the gunmen beat him on his head, and he is now lying in the hospital.
