Clashes between gunmen from “Tal Rifaat” and settlers from “Al-Qalamoun” in the vicinity of “Nowruz Roundabout”

As a result of their differences, armed confrontations and conflicts between Islamic militia militants affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood on the one hand, and some settlers who were brought by the Turkish occupation to settle in Afrin, after the displacement of the indigenous Kurdish people on the other hand.

In the context, on Tuesday night, two Kurdish citizens were injured during clashes that broke out between two groups of militants of the Turkish occupation militias and the Muslim Brotherhood, due to a dispute that broke out in front of a store selling ice blocks, according to the correspondent of “Afrinpost”.

The correspondent pointed out that a dispute had broken out between gunmen from the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia, who are from the city of “Tal Rifaat,” and a settler from the town of “Al-Qalamoun” in Damascus countryside, who has a store selling ice blocks in the vicinity of “Nowruz roundabout” in Afrin, because the gunmen insisted not standing in line, which led to the intervention of settlers to support their relative, and the situation evolved to armed clashes between the two parties.

The correspondent confirmed that the clashes resulted in the injury of the Kurdish youth “Bangin Khalil Abdullah”, from the village of Shekhotka, who has a grocery where the armed clash erupted, as well as the injury of the child “Rashid Muhammad Rashid / 12 years old”, who is from the village of Alamdara of Raju district .

The correspondent added that the clashes between the two parties extended to Al-Ashrafiya neighborhood, which witnessed an intense spreading of gunmen in the streets and on the roofs of houses, as well as heavy gunfire, which resulted in the death of an armed man from the Ghouta settlers, in addition to shooting bullets in the balconies of the homes and storefronts.

The correspondent noted that the residents of the Ashrafieh neighborhood had to stay in their homes for long hours, sheltering in the internal rooms and shelters, out of panic and fear of paying the price of fighting militants and their settler families.
