A gunman of “Sultan Murad” militia robs currency exchange office in Kutana

Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to implement all kinds of violations and crimes against the remaining Kurdish indigenous people in the occupied Afrin region, in the absence of the law and the prevalence of chaos and security chaos, taking advantage of every circumstance and occasion to expand their robbery activities, and to carry out the largest possible of thefts and impose royalties.

In the context, Afrinpost correspondent in “Bulbul / Bulbula” district reported that, two days ago, an armed militant of the Sultan Murad Brigade had stolen a currency exchange office in the town of Kutana / Kutanli.

The reporter pointed out that the gunman had been able to take away sums in several currencies, including 2,700 Turkish liras and 1,100 US dollars, in addition to 400 thousand Syrian pounds.

This crime is only a continuation of the robberies, appropriations and imposition of royalties that have continued since the occupation of Afrin, which included what was announced by “Afrinpost” reporter on the tenth of May.

Where he said at the time that gunmen from the “Memati” group, which is one of the militia groups of the “Sultan Murad Brigade”, were roaming in their security sector, which is located between Etisalat Habash Street, and Nowruz Rounabout, in the old Afrin neighborhood, in order to collect a new royalty from the commercial shops under the name of “Eidi”, indicating that the royalty amounts to ten thousand Syrian pounds for each commercial store.
