Who was behind the bombing in occupied Afrin … and what happened in its aftermath?

Afrinpost – Special

The death toll of the terrorist bombing, which is the most powerful in terms of human and material losses after the bombing of Al-Hal Market, has risen to 61, including a number of Kurdish martyrs (Fawaz Alwan / from the village of Qarah Tebah, Hussein Muhammad / from the village of Kurzeleh and Rezan Jaafar / from Marateh, while the fate of Ramzi Khalil / from Soghanke is still unknown) In addition to about 70 injuries reached the city’s hospitals, Azaz except for those who preferred to undergo treatment in their homes, according to the “Afrinpost” reporter.

The correspondent added that the explosion caused huge material losses, as the site of the explosion witnessed the burning of dozens of shops, all the shops in the market, as well as the burning of cars in the vicinity of the explosion, as a result of the scattering of the burning fuel for tens of meters away from the site of the explosion.

The reporter pointed out that many of the victims were burned at the marketplace, because the explosion took place directly in front of its entrance, which led to the spread of burning fuel fires into the market corridors, and besieging dozens of customers and shop owners inside it, as many of them were forced to climb the walls to escape the burning fires, due to the lack of exit gates from the other side of the market.

According to the settlers stories, the militiamen of “Sultan Murad” and “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” were behind the bombing, as they refuse to send all of their militants to Libya as requested by the Turkish intelligence, within a set time limit that ends at the end of this month, so they carried out the explosion and created more chaos to pressure the Turks and push them to retract their plan.

Whereas, as usual, the Turkish Ministry of Defense quickly accused the YPG of carrying out the bombing, ignoring even the fact that the self-administration areas had closed all their crossings with the Turkish occupation militias more than a month ago, which refutes any Turkish allegations that wish to carry out what happened in their favor, by making them an excuse to initiate a new aggression in Shahba or Kobani.

The bombing was followed by large-scale theft by the gunmen who were firing bullets in the air to spread terror and keep the people away from their commercial stores, and stole the goods. The robberies also included two gold shops and tow money-changing establishments in addition to the Subhi Bakr shop for stationery supplies and shops of electronics, fabrics, shoes and detergent.
