For the fourth day, quarantine is still imposed on the village of “Umm Hosh” in Al-Shahba District, after a suspicion of case with coronavirus appears on one of the villagers.
On April 10, the Crisis Cell, in response to the Corona epidemic, imposed a quarantine on the village of Umm Hosh in Al-Shahba district.
The Afrinpost correspondent said that the curfew was imposed after the symptoms of Corona appeared on one of the Syrian regime soldiers, who had been demobilized recently, without being examined or quarantined before coming back to his home in the village of Umm Hosh in Al-Shahba district, knowing that he was serving in one of the military sectors belonging to the regime’s army in Tartous Governorate.
The suspect case of being infected with the Corona virus was immediately transferred by the “Self-Administration” to the Afrin Hospital in Al-Shahba, where the required medical analyzes were conducted. Then the demobilized soldier was transferred to Aleppo hospitals.
In the context of precautionary measures, the quarantine on the village of Umm Hosh in Al-Shahba is still imposed for the fourth day, by preventing anyone from leaving their home, and by closing all roads that lead to enter and leave the village.
Tests and analyzes were conducted for the suspected case’s family, and the results were negative, according to medical staff at Afrin Hospital.
Al-Shahba district is sieged, as it is forbidden for the people of Afrin to go to Aleppo Governorate, even though many of them own homes in Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods in Aleppo.
The quarantine on the village of Umm Hosh in Shahba is planned to continue for 14 days, while the Afrinpost correspondent said that the demobilized soldier from the regime forces was serving in Tartous Governorate, while the Syrian regime is trying not to disclose the corona cases among its forces.
