In Ba’dina: 22% of the indigenous people are displaced..and arrests pursue them to Istanbul

An exclusive report for Afrinpost reveals the conditions in the town of “Ba’dina / Ba’denli” that was affiliated to Raju district, and during the era of “self-administration”, it was affiliated to the Ma’batli district, with a registered population of 6000.

It consists of 800 houses, and the number of indigenous Kurdish families currently live in the town is 625 Kurdish families, while about 250 families from Ghouta, rural Homs and Idlib were settled there, where they seize about 200 houses.

The town is occupied by the “Brigade 112” militia, which is led by a group of armed men, including: “Abdul Karim Jamal Qassum, known as Abu Jamal,” from the village of “Kafarbatikh” who is the general leader of the militia in the north of Syria, as well as “Abu Hassan” , in addition to “Abu Jassem ”and“ Abu Al-Nour ”who are running the so-called“Al-Amniye”.

The town was occupied on March 13, 2018, where a group of YPG fighters in which have shown a fierce resistance, which led the Turkish occupation to bomb the town with artillery and aviation, and in the recent days with heavy bombs, as nearly 600 houses were destroyed, including 70 houses with medium-term damage, about 43 houses were completely destroyed, as the bakery building and other house above it.

Disappeared Kidnapees:

There is a group of people in the town who were kidnapped and disappeared by the Turkish occupation militias, namely:

1. Hussein Muhammad Muhammad, 58 years old, since early October 2018
2. Anwar Muhammad Muhammad, 38 years old, since early October 2018
3. Khalil Abdin Habash, 35 years old, since early October 2018
4. Bakr Abdin Habash, 32 years old, since early October 2018
5. Ibrahim Khalil Abdo bin Muhammad (Dada Jerji), born in 1977, since 3/5/2019

Martyrs:

A group of people were martyred during the Turkish invasion and after the military occupation, among them: “Aslan Beram Sinu” known as (Aso), born in Ba’dina in 1973, where the militias of the town and the Qubeh village of Raju district, in the middle of May 2019, informed his family of his death without handing over his body, after being kidnapped by them on 10/25/2018.

Also, two citizens died under the rubble of their homes, namely, “Jamil Haider Ibrahim / 75 years old, who was martyred on 11/3/2018, and“ Hamid Khalil Muhammad / 80 years old, ”on 1/03/2018.

In the town there is a group of military headquarters belonging to the Islamic militias, where the militias seized government buildings and others belongings of the Kurdish displaced people, including the post building, and the “Civil Police” militia took over The municipality building.

In the town, there is a primary and middle school, a clinic, in addition to a station with an artesian well to pump drinking water, but it does not work continuously.

In a flagrant violation of the sanctity of places of worship, the Turkish flag was raised over the minaret of the mosque of the town of Baadina, and copper pots for washing the dead were stolen from the mosque and some sound devices, batteries, and solar electric panels, and the imam of the mosque fro 20 years, Abd al-Rahman Ramuse was expelled, and the youth and cultural center was looted and abolished.

Kidnappings and extortion:

The Islamic militia carried out kidnappings and financial extortion continuously against the town’s indigenous Kurdish people. In mid-October 2019, the elderly citizen, Ismail Shukri Hanan, and his young daughter, Kurdistan, were arrested in Istanbul, after accusing them of dealing with Previous self-administration.

Since the twenty-second of last February, the two young men (Rashid Riyad Fati Seni, Abdo Muhammad Jerji) have been arrested by the Turkish police in Istanbul, after accusing them of belonging to the Asayish of the previous self-administration, and the young man (Nidal Ahmad Yusuf) is one of the townspeople in Istanbul, had been arrested since February 2019, on charges of having links with the previous self-administration, and was sentenced to ten years in prison.
