In Afrin: Tension between one Turkmen militia and another from Damascus countryside

Afrinpost correspondent said in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, that a new tension began yesterday afternoon between the militia of the “Sultan Murad Brigade”, whose majority are from Turkmen on the one hand, and “Jaish Al-Aslam” militia, the majority of whose militants are from Damascus countryside on the one hand other.

The correspondent noted that the tension came after the arrests of the militia of “Jaish Al-Aslam” militia in the city of Afrin, where the tension continued yesterday in light of the mobilization among the militants of the two sides.

The reporter confirmed that the militia of “Sultan Murad Brigade” had arrested three gunmen from “Jaish Al-Aslam” militia, against the background of the killing of a group of its militants in an area near Manbej, as it accused Jaish Al-Aslam militia of being behind their killing there.

The correspondent added that Jaish Al-Aslam militia had pushed military reinforcements from Ashrafieh to the new bridge area in the city of Afrin, which could herald the occurrence of confrontations between the two parties.

Information is received about the disappearance of the alleged militants of the Islamic militia affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood in Afrin, after the arrest by the Turkish occupation of “Rami Tlass” (descended from Rastan in Homs countryside), and he is the leader of the militia of the so-called “Civil Police in Afrin”.

In the context, on Saturday, private sources told “Afrinpost” from the Afrin Center about events taking place after the arrest of Rami Tlass, by the Turkish occupation, against the background of his accusation of dealing with the Syrian regime, where he indicated that three or four militia fighters disappears in Afrin every day.

And one of the sources added that “there are about 200 alleged missing persons from Afrin, no one knows where they are, and Turkey is chasing Rami Tlass’s relatives.”
