The explosions in the occupied Kurdish autonomous region of Afrin, which is affiliated to the former self-administration, continue to occur, in light of the Kurdish activists ’assertion on the ground, of the responsibility of the Turkish occupation and the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, as part of their efforts to create confusion and security chaos that allows them to continue to abuse, kidnap, and rob the Kurdish indigenous people.
In the context, two people were killed and at least seven others were injured, this afternoon, Tuesday, in a preliminary toll, as reported by the “Afrinpost” reporter, as a result of the explosion of a fuel truck on Rajo Road in the center of the occupied Afrin region.
The reporter pointed out that the truck exploded at the entrance of the city market, which resulted in the death of two people and a number of wounded, in addition to huge material damage in the market and the shops adjacent to the site of the explosion, indicating that the fire completely burned the flea market and the fire is still burning.
The reporter confirmed that four fire trucks are at the explosion site to extinguish fires but were unable to control the fire until the moment the news was published.
Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood have long accused the “Afrin Liberation Forces” of carrying out the explosions that have occured in Afrin since the start of the Turkish military occupation in March 2018.
On the other hand, Afrin activists affirm that the militias of the Turkish occupation are behind the frequent bombings from time to time, with the aim of spreading confusion and panic among the indigenous Kurdish Afrin residents, to push them towards leaving the Kurdish region in favor of settlers who are the families of Islamic militants.
