Today, “Afrin Liberation Forces” issued a statement to the public opinion, through which it announced a military operation against the militias of the Islamic militias of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, who call themselves several names such as (the Syrian National Army, the Free Army, the Nusra Front) and others .
The forces said that on March 1, they carried out a qualitative operation against the fortifications of “the Turkish occupation mercenaries in the vicinity of the town of Marea, which resulted in the killing of two mercenaries and the seizure of a quantity of weapons and ammunition.”
It referred to the weapons and ammunition that they seized, as follows: (1M16 weapon + 1AK- 47 weapon, binoculars with its accessories, 1 topographic device, 1 camera device, ID cards and wallets).
The forces noted that “the Turkish occupation army and its terrorist mercenaries are still continuing with the intense and daily indiscriminate shelling of the villages and towns of Sherawa, Sharan and al-Shahba district.”
On January 29th, the Afrinpost correspondent in the Afrin Regional Center monitored several measures taken by the Turkish occupation and the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, after their military headquarters were targeted by two missiles, which resulted in deaths and injuries in their ranks.
The reporter emphasized that the Turkish occupation and Islamic militias evacuated the headquarters that were subjected to rockets, in addition to removing the flags of the occupation and its militias known as the “Syrian National Army” from its headquarters in the occupied region.
The reporter explained at the time that the “Amir al-Ghobari” school located next to Azadi Square in the city center, in which the so-called “Turkish commandos” and the “local police” militia were stationed, were directly hit by two missile launchers.
He added that the Afrin Azhar Private School, in which the Turkish intelligence is stationed, was hit by a shell, and a shell also landed near the former customs building in which a militia is stationed, in addition to the shell of the house opposite to Dr. Rangin Abdo’s clinic, which is where the militia of “Sultan Murad” is stationed.
The direct missile targets of the occupation headquarters and militias, which no military entity has yet adopted, resulted in many deaths and injuries, and there are likely to be losses among the Turkish commandos as well.
Channels loyal to the Islamic militia announced a number of dead and wounded and mentioned them on the basis that they were civilians, and they were both (the dead man Ahmad Tammam Qatirji), and (the injured: “Muhammad Faruq al-Suleiman-Muhammad Hayani-Muhammad Shaghuri-Abdullah Badawi-Haitham al-Shaqra-Mustafa Hassoun- Ayman Miqdad – Abboud Abboud – Mari Mohammed Diab – Muhammad Al-Khalaf – Mustafa Hassoun – Bassam Siraj – Ibrahim Sheikh Saadia “).
