Afrinpost – Special
Ten people were killed and 14 others were injured today, Wednesday, by five rocket-propelled grenades at the center of the occupied Kurdish Afrin region, without any military authority taking responsibility until the moment of preparing the report, according to the “Afrinpost” reporter.
The reporter stated that one of the shells landed on the headquarters of the “Ahrar Al-Sharqiya militia”, which is located in the “Mohamed Hassan” building next to the “Show Café” cafe in Al-Vailat Street, and resulted in the death of six gunmen, while four settlers were killed as a result of shells that fell in the middle of the Marateh road, including a child.
Pointing out that the missile shelling wounded 14 other people, including two Kurdish citizens, who were working in a mini market in the same area, and one of them was seriously injured.
The correspondent added that the missile shelling caused material damage in the shops and apartments located in the locations where the shells landed, noting that the injured people were treated to “Afrin” and “Martyr Farzenda Military” hospitals.
The “Afrinpost” reporter at the Afrin Center had previously obtained information from civilian sources stating that Islamic militias are taking advantage of some dates, such as today (the eighteenth of March), which coincides with the second anniversary of the occupation of Afrin, in order to pass their revenge goals from the rest of the militias.
He stated that the Afrin center had been bombed from a hill close to the village of “Korzehel / Kurzeleh”, where the “Ahfad Al-Rasoul” militia was stationed, and hit the militia headquarters in the middle of Afrin, with great accuracy as a result of the proximity of the distance, which is likely to be the case in the bombing Implemented today.
According to military personnel, the Afrin center cannot be targeted with precision that has been carried out recently from long distances, as it is likely that the shelling is carried out from close distances from inside the Turkish occupation areas, and against the headquarters of other militias.
