Sources of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported yesterday, Monday, that the militants of the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, called (the Syrian National Army), have imposed taxes on livestock keepers for grazing in the area surrounding the village of Maratah in Afrin countryside.

The observatory said that the militia of the “Hamza Brigade” imposed on each head 1000 SP, and on a each sheep 500 SP.
He continued his experience by noting that the prohibition is applied to the villagers (the indigenous Kurds) from tending their sheep in the mountainous region, except after paying taxes or purchasing the mountain land.

To that, the observatory pointed out that the areas of control in northwestern Syria (in reference to Idlib and Afrin) are linked through crossings, including official and artificial ones, and the nature of its work varies between humanity, commercial and military, while it constitutes a material income for these militias, and is also used to pass its trade deals. .

The Observatory said: “The official Bab Al-Hawa crossing is one of the most active of these crossings, as it is a commercial line that links Turkey to the areas under the authority of the Headquarters for the Tahrir Al-Sham. The crossing is managed by a civilian cadre and supervised by border security personnel close to the head of the Headquarters for Tahrir Al-Sham,” Al-Jolany “

Goods are entered by merchants linked to a network of relations with security and “Amir”s from Tahrir al-Sham, and the sources of the Syrian Observatory reported that citizens were smuggled and large sums were taken from them through influential people at the crossing.

In the areas controlled by the militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood (the Syrian National Army), the militias have synthesized two crossings, the most important of which is the Gazawiya crossing, which is opposite to Dar Azza, and it is a commercial and military crossing, where its administration is supervised by Afrin from the “Failaq Al-Sham” militia and the Headquarters for the Tahrir of Al-Sham from the Dara Azza side .

A leader from Tahrir al-Sham had talked about the value of the monthly revenues that exceed $ 13 million from the crossings controlled by the Headquarters for the Liberation of Al-Sham, knowing that the militants of Al-Nusra and the Brotherhood are ultimately led by the Turkish occupier, as evidence of sending Al-Nusra and the Brothers their militants to Libya to fight alongside the Saraj government .
