In the context, the correspondent of “Afrinpost” said that the security barriers of the Islamic militia have continued, for about a week, to impose royalties on Kurdish citizens, under the pretext of collecting donations for the fleeing from Idlib and the western countryside of Aleppo.
The reporter pointed out that the barriers erected at the entrances to the city of Afrin from the south and east (Trinda and Al-Qaws), as well as the “Matina / Matnli” village junction, which imposes on the Kurdish citizens exclusively amounts of money between 200 – 500 Syrian pounds, under the pretext of donations.
More royalties were imposed, and the Afrinpost correspondents in the Afrin center and its countryside indicated that in most villages, an amount of 500 Syrian pounds was imposed for every olive tree owned by the Kurdish farmers. Royalties were also imposed on the Kurdish peasants under the pretext of “olive season protection tax”, in addition to royalties and other percentages imposed on them in the contemporary and barriers in exchange for their permission to transport the product to the markets of Afrin center, and the imposition of royalties by the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, in order to constrict the remaining indigenous Kurdish population in the occupied Afrin region, in order to push them to leave their homes for the settlers loyal to the Turkish Brotherhood Justice and Development Government.
Likewise, the militia “Sultan Suleiman Shah / Amshahat” imposed a royalty on the original Kurdish “Khalil” village, under the pretext of protecting them and protecting their crops. The new royalty is estimated at ten thousand Syrian pounds, and the militia occupies the center of the “Shieh” district and eight villages affiliated with it. Shieh, Chaqala Fawqani, Jala Taqtani, Chaqala Al-Wastani, Haj Balil, Alkana and Khalil), in addition to the village of “Kakhreh”, of “Mobata / Mabatli” district.
