First two Corona cases in the occupied region of Afrin

Medical sources from the martyr “Farzand” military hospital in the occupied center of Afrin region, told “Afrinpost” that the hospital received the first two cases of Corona virus and was transferred to the Turkish hospitals.

The sources confirmed that the injured (a woman and a man) were settlers who were brought in by the Turkish occupation to the region, and lived in the random camps located between the bushes of the Mahmudiyah neighborhood in the city, noting that the injured had been transferred to hospitals equipped by the Turkish government in Hatay state specifically for the Syrians.

The sources added that similar cases have appeared in the occupied city of Al-Bab, but the Turkish occupation and its authorities do not announce it, which threatens to spread of the epidemic further.

The local council of the Turkish occupation in Afrin has announced the closure of the schools of the city of Afrin and its villages, from Sunday 15 March 2020 until Thursday 26 March 2020, as part of the precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Corona epidemic.
