Afripost – Special

The Afrinpost correspondents in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria said that the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to seize the properties of the indigenous people, by armed force and coercion.

In this context, the militia of the “men of war” that is part of the militia of the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia sold the house of the Kurdish citizen “Hassan Amo” from the people of the “Trinda / Al-Zarifa” village to the people of Idlib, for an amount of $ 1500 under a real estate contract ratified by the local council of the occupation Turkish, the house is located in the vicinity of Ashrafieh Park.

Likewise, the militia of “Al-Muntasir Billah” of the Ahrar al-Sharqiya militia expelled the Kurdish young man (SH.H) from the village of Dikeh from his house located on the street opposite the municipal stadium in Afrin, and took over his house, in addition to shops in the same area , As it was rented to the settlers, under the threat of the charge of belonging to the “People’s Protection Units”.

On February 5, the Afrinpost correspondent in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, North Syria, confirmed that the so-called “local council” of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood had started selling the homes that are still not ready to live in, For the newly arrived settlers from Idlib governorate and the western areas of Aleppo and others.

Observers point out that the small amounts of money that settlers buy real estate from the local council or armed men and that may not reach a quarter of the real price of the property, seem to have two main objectives, the first of which is the desire of the occupation council and its members and Brotherhood militias to earn the largest possible amount of money from property and real estate That the indigenous Afrin Kurds had forcibly left behind, while being forcibly displaced from their territory.

It appears that the second objective is to search for some settlers for a residence in which they will permanently reside in Afrin, as long as the military occupation is in place, without being subjected to harassment by the militants, as the settlers themselves are in some cases subjected to harassment by the militants, and extortion in order to obtain funds and royalties.

Observers add that the situation in Afrin does not seem to maintain its condition for a long time, especially with the escalation of clashes between the forces of the regime and Russia on the one hand, and the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood militants on the other hand, which may open the door to the cause of liberating the region from the occupation, and return it to its people soon.
