Thousands of people from the Afrin region who were displaced in Shahba, and the people of the Shahba regions, the bodies of three civilians were killed by shelling by the Turkish occupation artillery and Muslim Brotherhood militants who are known as (the Syrian National Army / Free Army), on the village of Aqiba, in the Shirawa district, as part of a ceremony organized today , Thursday.
Thousands of people from the Afrin region gathered in front of the Afrin Hospital in Fafin district to receive the coffins of the three martyrs (the family of the Kurdish citizen “Izzat Hassan” and his wife “Fatima” and their daughter “Srusht Hassan” 12 years old), and after receiving them the procession marched in Um Al-Hosh-Fafin Street towards the Martyrs ’Shrine In Fafin district, where the procession was received by thousands of people from Afrin region at the entrance to Fafin district, to join the procession.
The procession continued on its march within the Fafin district, where the people held pictures of the martyrs of the Tel Rifaat massacre, and the Aqiba massacre, in addition to signs that read, “Turkey occupies our land, killing our children and adults and Russia is silent .”
They chanted slogans denouncing the international silence about the massacres taking place against the displaced Afrin people, and slogans saluting and glorifying the martyrs.
In the context, the joint head of the Executive Council of Afrin province, “Shiraz Hamo,” condemned the massacre and held the Turkish occupation and the international community responsible for killing civilians, stressing in a special statement to “Afrinpost” that Erdogan is responsible for the massacres that happen to the people of Afrin and the Aqiba massacre is a clear example.
“Hamou” confirmed that the Turkish occupation army and the Muslim Brotherhood’s militants “did not stop targeting the people of Afrin forcibly displaced from their lands since the occupation of Afrin until today.” She added: “A while ago a massacre occurred in Tal Rifaat, and a few days ago a woman was targeted in the Shirawa district, Today, a new massacre was committed in the village of Aqiba.
“Hamo” adde, “The goal is to undermine the will of the people and force them to flee but the people are adhering to the right of the resistance and to continue the struggle to confront these plans.”
After the mourners arrived at the martyrs ’shrine in Fafin district, a minute of silence was observed for their lives, and then Nowruz Afrin spoke in the name of the Afrin Provincial Council , which promised to take revenge for the martyrs, while a member of the Democratic Education Community of Afrin district Hikmat Hussein a document of the martyrs, after which the martyrs were buried in the Shrine of martyrs, amid chanting slogans calling for the unity of the Syrian lands and saluting the martyrs.
