The Afrinpost correspondent in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, north of Syria, said that the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to seize the properties of the indigenous people, by armed force and coercion.
In the context, an armed militia from the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood seized a Kurdish citizen’s house in the occupied center of Afrin region, taking advantage of his absence from the house, and rented it to a fleeing family from Idlib, according to the Afrin Post reporter.
The reporter stated that the called “Abu Ahmad Shamiya”, who is an armed militia of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia, took advantage of the absence of the citizen “Ahmed Mousa” from his house to break the door of the house and rent it to a fleeing family from Idlib countryside.
The reporter indicated that the citizen went to his village to visit his relatives, but that after his return he was surprised by people who are strangers living in his house, which was forced to leave and went to live with one of his relatives after receiving a threat from the so-called “Abu Ahmed Shamia” who, accompanied by his armed followers, runs a security sector in Ashrafieh neighborhood.
The incident is only a continuation of the ongoing robberies and seizures since the occupation of Afrin, where Islamic militias in most villages prevented many citizens from returning to their homes and properties after seizing them, on the pretext that they had become military headquarters for Islamic militias, or that settlers with families of the militants had settled there!
The Afrinpost correspondent reported yesterday, Wednesday, February 26th, that gunmen from the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia sold a house belonging to the Kurdish citizen, Muhammad Ahmed, from the people of the town of Shieh / Sheikh Al-Hadid, to a family coming from Saraqeb city in Idlib countryside for two thousand dollars, noting that the house is located in the residential building opposite to “Online” Internet company in Ashrafieh.
Another armed militia belonging to the “Hamzah Brigade” militia sold a warehouse located on Al-Sarafis Road in the Ashrafieh neighborhood for $ 1,800, to a merchant who recently came from the town of Sarmada, and owned by a Kurdish citizen. The house of the Kurdish elderly woman, “Sabah Muhammad Hussein,” and for a fee, on the pretext that the next family will take care of the old woman, as she lives alone.
The militia, “Sultan Murad”, also seized the Rose Tailoring Hall, which is owned by an abandoned Kurdish product, and rented it to six Idlib families, erected tents inside it and lived in them for a fee of 15,000 Syrian pounds per tent! Sultan Murad ”on the home of the Kurdish citizen,” Rashid Dodakh “and rented it to a family arrived from Idlib.
