Afrinpost – Special
A Turkish sniper, last Friday, January 10th, sniped a settler woman from Eastern Ghouta, where it died instantly, without being able to know the reason for targeting her.
The Afrinpost correspondent in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, in northern Syria, stated that a Turkish sniper was stationed at the military base established by the Turkish occupation in the Ashrafieh neighborhood, directly targeting a settler woman from the eastern Ghouta, which was moving on a dirt road near the base.
The correspondent added that the occupation soldiers stationed in that base had earlier fired on employees of the Afrin Water Company at a point where they were working to distribute water to the city’s neighborhoods, without anyone being harmed.
It seems that the recent events in Idlib, and the realization of the militants playing the Turkish occupation on them in order to displace them from Idlib and push them to settle in Afrin and east of the Euphrates, have begun to raise sensitivities and unrest between the Turkish occupation and the settlers.
