The news agency “North Press” presented new photos documenting the conversion of the ancient Junders Hill to a military base, by the Turkish occupation forces.
The pictures show high concrete walls placed around the hill, which is located south of the city of Jenderes, and which has an area of / 2 / hectares, while the agency confirmed that the hill above the military base is witnessing excavations in search of antiquities.
The agency added that the Turkish forces prevented the people of the region from approaching the military base, amidst heavy guarding over the area that fell under occupation on the eighth of March of the year 2018, ten days before reaching the center of the region on the eighteenth of March.
It pointed out that the military base is surrounded by surveillance cameras, where there are elements of the Turkish forces, and Islamic militias called (the National Army, the Free Army), which are affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood as a whole.
The agency noted that all the houses around the ancient Jendiris Hill had been destroyed by the invading forces during their military invasion of the Kurdish region since January 20 last year.
