Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, yesterday, Tuesday, sentenced to life imprisonment for 9 Kurdish indigenous civilians in Afrin, who were kidnapped earlier.
According to activists from Afrin, the occupation gunmen announced on Tuesday that they had been sentenced to life imprisonment for nine citizens of the village of “Omar / Omar Oshaghi”, which belongs to Raju district, in the occupied country of Afrin, after they were kidnapped on previously false charges.
The citizens against whom the verdicts were pronounced are: “Firas Faeqa Kalkawi, Hamouda Khulousi Jaafar, Ibesh Muhammad Muhu, Masoud Majeed Kalkawi, Jenghis Mustafa Naasan, Ahmed Muhammad Ibish, Rashid Sabri Muhu, Idris Mustafa Naasan, Hussein Ahmad Malkawi.”
According to activists, most of the Afrin abductees are in “al-Ra’i prison”, and in June 2018, activists estimated the number of kidnapped people in that prison to be between 700 and 800, including about 50 women, amid mysterious circumstances that damaged their fate, and the absence of any significant judicial system.
Information showed that there were killings of some of the kidnappers as a result of torture, as the deceased are buried under torture in a place near the prison without even the names being documented.
