Afrinpost – Middle East Online

Kurdish journalist Lamar Arkandi revealed that a number of IDPs from Gire Spi / Tel Abyad region after the Turkish invasion confirmed that they had previously identified elements who had fought in the ranks of ISIS, and the journalist said, “We met many displaced people from the city of Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ain in the north of Syria, some of whom had fled after their cities were occupied by Turkey for a month, and many of them lived through the era of terrorist organizations taking control of their cities between 2012/2015.

The journalist added, “They revealed the names of these ISIS members to us and that they knew them since they joined these extremist factions previously, and today they returned under the name of the Syrian National Army.” And she continued, “Many civilians identified these elements through videos and photos that they were posting on social media platforms and on their pages. In particular, the families of many of them are known to the people of Tal Abyad, Raqqa, Deir Ezzor and Al-Mayadeen.

The Kurdish journalist stressed the intention of the Turkish forces to invade more Kurdish cities in order to control of the oil wealth and silicon stock, adding, “Ankara is seeking to seize oil in the east of the Euphrates, and according to some experts’ estimates, 75 percent of Syrian oil rights are located in the Kurdish-controlled areas which are The area of Hasakeh fields (including Rumailan, Suwaidi, and Karchuk), and the Shaddadi area or Gibisa fields (including Gibisa, Ghouna, Kebbeh, and Tishreen). These two regions produce heavy oil, while the Euphrates region – Deir Ezzor fields – produces light oil.

The Kurdish journalist said, “These oil facts are known to the Turkish government, of course, and therefore they consider reaching and controlling this region and stealing its oil is a vital issue for the Turkish state. The journalist Lamar Arkandi warned of a Turkish plot against Tunisia by supporting the Tunisian elements involved in ISIS and transferring them to areas in the Libyan south.

The journalist said, “Turkey excluded the handing of Tunisian ISIS militants to the government of its country and intentionally to transfer them from Syria to Libya because the proportion of Tunisians among ISIS militants in Libya is very high, and Turkish airports transport them via civil aircraft to the southern Libyan regions that turned into a terrorist kingdom, especially the areas of Mount Harrog, which it includes the main military strongholds of its militant group coming from Syria and Iraq, so that the Turkish conspiracy against the Arab countries extends from Libya bordering Tunisia to the Tunisian depth further, by moving the “Brotherhood-oriented” Renaissance movement, its ally in Tunisia.

The journalist also warned against the attempts of the influential countries in Syria, such as Russia, to exploit the Kurds in an attempt to further support that influence, noting that the Kurdish people will be the biggest losers. In this context, she said, “The Russians, through a tripartite agreement with Ankara and Tehran, have pushed the Syrian opposition militias with extensive air and ground support to advance and occupy cities in Northeast Syria, which is predominantly Kurdish, the beginning was the city of Afrin, followed by the cities Tal Abyad, Ras al-Ain, Ain Issa and Tal, Tamr are likely to fall the Russian-Turkish negotiating table, and Manbij, Tal Rifaat, Kobani and Qamishlo also.

The journalist said that the Kurds as a people are the biggest loser of what is going on, as it will lose its national identity and the land on which it has lived for thousands of years in front of Ankara’s plans to occupy and subsequently annex it to Turkey after displacing the Kurds from it and transfer the rest of their land to the displacement camps, as the Kurds previously displaced in Turkey from their villages and cities .
