The Turkish occupation consolidates its presence by opening branches of Turkish universities in northern Syria, including Afrin

Gaziantep University has opened several colleges in conquered areas known as the Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch in northern Syria, which were occupied under the pretext of fighting ISIS in Jarablus, with the aim of eliminating the Kurdish presence in Afrin.

One of the students, who claims to be a researcher at the Faculty of Education opened by the Gaziantep University in Afrin, called “Khalil Ibrahim Ilgi”, said that the new colleges opened in the cities of Al-Bab, Azaz, Afrin and Jarablus, which will allow Syrian students to continue their university education.

On the basis of all tyrannical regimes, he said that the Turkish University opened its colleges in northern Syria by presidential decree, adding: “A vocational high school was opened in Jarablus, a faculty of education in Afrin, a faculty of Islamic sciences in Azaz, and a faculty of administrative and economic sciences ”.

He claimed that the number of students who passed the entrance examination at the Faculty of Education in Afrin reached 3,000 students, and that 120 students were admitted, noting that the Faculty of Education in Afrin is divided into 3 branches: the class teacher department, the psychological counseling department, and the Turkish language department.

On July 3, 2018, Reuters said: “Turkey started to open Afrin schools and help run hospitals.
