Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, as part of the aggression and invasion of the “ olive branch ”, continue to violate the Kurdish citizens who refused to displace previously, and insisted on staying in their areas within the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin and its countryside, former Self-Administration.
In this context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that a checkpoint belonging to the militia of the “Hamzah Division”, located in the village of Tarende at the entrance of the city of Afrin, abducted a group of Kurdish indigenous people from the village of “Kurzile / Qurzeheel” of Sherawa district, while they were going to the city of Afrin, which is not the first time since the occupation, the village of Korzele has been subjected to violations.
The kidnappings have not stopped since the Turkish military occupation of the Kurdish region. On 21 November, two people from the village of “Kurzile / Qurzeheel” in Afrin city, one of them called Farzand, were arrested by the military police militia. They were released after each paid $ 200 to the militia.
The Islamic militias, through kidnappings, seek to raise funds by imposing financial ransoms on the abducted relatives, and making charges prepared in advance, such as dealing with the YPG or former Self-Administration.
