The Islamic militias of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to attack the forests and agricultural wealth which arw 18 million olive trees, causing severe damage to the economy and environment of the former Kurdish autonomous region of Afrin.
In this context, the correspondent of “Afrinpost” in the center of the province that the militants of the militia, “Faliq al-Rahman” expelled from the countryside of Damascus, who were stationed in Arish Qibar / Qibareh after the occupation of Afrin, are cutting olive trees in the fields surrounding the base.
He went on to say that the gunmen send the trees to the markets of the city of Afrin for sale as firewood, where the price per ton of firewood olive to 80 thousand Syrian pounds.
On Wednesday, activists on social media circulated a video in which two gunmen from the “Al-Sharqiya Army” militia of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood emerged boasting to go to the forests of Jenderes district in Kurdish Afrin countryside to cut trees.
Activists said that the gunmen from the group called “Abu Hamza Khasham,” within the militia “Al-Sharqiya Army”, which is stationed in the district of Jendiris, where the scenes show the militants singing songs and epics of delight seem to cut trees Afrin, as it has become a source of income for the militants, while the occupation councils imposed on the indigenous Kurds obtaining approval before pruning their olive trees in order to secure firewood for themselves.
The occupied Kurdish region has witnessed daily logging of perennial forest and olive trees since the beginning of winter, by Islamic militia gunmen in the area, and their settler relatives.
