Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya militia of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood launched a raid and arrest campaign against the residents of Mobata / Ma’batli and its village of Qantarah / Qantara in the Kurdish countryside of Afrin.
Activists said that the militia kidnapped more than 15 Kurds during the past two days, from the village of Qantreh / Qantara and the center of Mobata / Ma’batli district, on charges of joining Sel-Protection Forces that represented the compulsory recruitment by the “Self-Administration”, or belonging to the YPG.
The militia imposed a sum of 100,000 Syrian pounds on the families of the kidnapped in return for their release, while activists documented the names of some of the abductees, namely: (Ramzi Shaabo, Mohammed Mohammed Ali, Khalil Bakr, Ahmed Kalkash, Ali Mohammed Murad, Ramzi Hanan Othman, Khalil Manan Yousef , Nabi Khalil Hanan, Azad Ahmed Hanan, Mohammed Ahmed Hanan, Ahmed Aslan, Naam Ahmed Hanan, Mohammed Rabi Yusuf, Ali Hanan Shekho, Abdul Rahim Mohammed Sheikh Naasan, Khalil Hanan Khalil “Chief of the village of Qantara).
Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a means of obtaining money, one of the methods they have used since the occupation of Afrin, while the Turkish occupation oversees these operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from returning.
