The Islamic militias of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to kidnap Kurdish citizens in the formerly autonomous Kurdish region of Afrin in order to blackmail them and leave their homes, in order to achieve a comprehensive demographic change in the region.

According to local activists, on 29 October, Sultan Suleiman Shah’s militia abducted citizens (Abdo Khalil Hasso and Mustafa Hassan Hammu) from their home in the village of Kakhreh, in the Mobata / Ma’batli district, in order to extort them financially.

Activists confirmed that the kidnappers drove the two young men to the center of the district “Shieh / Sheikh Al,-Hadid”, where the militia led by the so-called “Mohammed Jassim Abu Amsha,” demands a ransom of 10,000 dollars in exchange for their release.

Islamic militias typically use fabricated and ready-made charges to kidnap Kurdish citizens, such as serving under a “self-defense / compulsory duty” or working for former self-government institutions, to crack down on Kurdish citizens.
