Turkish telecommunications network stops thousands of phone cards in Afrin

The Afrin Post correspondent in the center of the Kurdish region of Afrin, a former self-administration, said that the Turkish telecommunications network has stopped thousands of phone cards on which people depend on their communications, after the Turkish occupation destroyed the towers of the Syrian telecommunications network.

The correspondent explained that the participants of the people of the region received a message from the Turkish network on their phones informing them to suspend the services provided by the network, asking them to apply for network stores through the foreign card and get new phone card.

The correspondent confirmed that some people have registered a new phone card through the identification card issued by (local councils), but the cards quickly stopped after a few days of activating, where the cost of the Turkish phone cards is about 17 thousand Syrian pounds.
