The militia of the “Al-Hamzah” of the Turkish occupation, rendered a decision to prohibit the opening of shops during prayer times in the village “Basuta” of the Sherawa district of the countryside of Afrin.
The Afrin Post correspondent said that the militia issued an official circular stamped by its so-called “Amniyat Basoutah”, which provides for the prevention of residents from opening shops during prayer times.
The circular bears the seal of the militia “Al-Hamzah” and the stamp of “Amniyeh Basuta”, and warned the militia against violating the decision under penalty of holding , while it is not known whether the decision will include all villages under the occupation of the militia such as (Ghazawiya and Burj Abdalou and Iskeh) and the villages around.
The resolution aims to clamp down on the Kurdish indigenous population and impose strict religious teachings by force of arms, although the region is known for its religious pluralism, where various religious and sectarian groups exist.
The Islamic militias of “the Muslim Brotherhood” have opened several religious centers and started to build new mosques in many villages of the region since the Turkish occupation on March 18, 2018.Many religious institutes that teach children strict teachings have been opened too.
