Our correspondent reports that on Tuesday, the “Military Police” militia arrested Rashid Shukri Rashid, a 52-year-old resident of Jindires, from his home on the town’s main street. The arrest occurred a week after Rashid returned from Aleppo, with the authorities claiming his previous employment at a bakery in Afrin, which was under autonomous administration at the time, as the reason for his detention.
In a related development, on Sunday, Turkish authorities released Jiwan Suleiman, a resident of the village of Ayn al-Hajar in the Ma’batli sub-district, from the detention center in Bulbul. Suleiman had been held for over two weeks before his release.
