On September 21st, Turkish intelligence apprehended Mr. Mohammad Jamea Al Khaleel, a 36-year-old resident of Arab origin in Afrin, from his residence in the Old neighborhood of Afrin. He was detained on charges related to his alleged involvement with the previous Autonomous Administration in Afrin.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin, via their official Facebook page on September 22nd, reported that six Kurds have been arrested by the Civil Police militia, an arm of the Turkish forces, under similar accusations of having collaborated with the previous Autonomous Administration in Afrin.

Approximately one week ago in Jindires, three individuals, including a woman, were detained. These are Mohammad Othman, Mohammad Najib Aloush, aged 40, and Mrs. Nisreen Bilal, the wife of Mohammad Bilal.

Mrs. Nisreen was arrested when she visited the prison to check on her husband, only to be transferred to the central Marateh prison in Afrin shortly thereafter. It’s worth noting that she is currently employed at the Mapping Department in Afrin City.

On September 21st, two more individuals were apprehended: Huro Huro Oso, aged 25, from the village of Ashkan Sharqi, Ahmed Ali Al Issa, aged 33, from the village of Deir Ballout, and Luqman Mohammad Hasan, aged 34, also from the village of Deir Ballout. They were taken to an undisclosed location.

In Istanbul, Turkey, authorities arrested Mr. Ramzi Ahmed Nabo, a 28-year-old Kurdish individual from the village of Qastal Khudriya in the Bulbul sub-district. His detention appears to be part of the broader pattern of deportations of Syrian nationals back to northern Syria that has been ongoing for over a year.
